Targeted phototherapy, as the name suggests, is the targeted delivery of ultraviolet (UV) light focused on affected areas of skin,  using laser or non-laser devices to treat vitiligo. The Excimer Laser is one such device, which targets a laser beam of ultraviolet B (UVB) light on the affected areas of skin. The 308-nm excimer laser is proven to be effective in treating skin conditions such as vitiligo and psoriasis. This treatment is highly effective for vitiligo, and is safe and painless.
