Mono Threads, or PDO threads, are fine threads made of an absorbable material called polydioxanone (PDO). They are inserted into the subdermal layer of the skin in a mesh-like pattern which results in an increase in collagen production in the skin. They can be used to treat a single area e.g., marionette lines (corners of mouth) or cheeks, or multiple areas of the face and neck in a single treatment. Mono Threads are ideal for rejuvenating the skin without adding volume or ‘bulk’ to the treatment area.
