During the treatment, the skin is cleansed and a thin layer of liquid carbon is applied to the skin. The micro-to-nano sized carbon particles penetrate deep into the pores. Then a laser is passed over the carbon mask. The carbon particles are highly attracted to the laser light. When the laser is passed over the area, it purges the carbon, which takes out dead skin cells, contaminants and oil with it. The treatment reduces the acne causing bacteria and shrinks the sebaceous glands, leading to decrease in oil production reducing the occurrence of blocked or congested pores. It also stimulates collagen production in the deep layers of the skin, resulting in firmer, plumper skin, with reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
